The only positive thing was that the property sits on the main road. I expected a hotel but it looked more like a lodge; the reception was on the first floor, and my room was on the third floor with no lift. The staff didn’t even handle our luggage after we asked for help. We were two women who had been working all day and had two large trolleys. The staff demanded an extra 600 to move us to a first‑floor room, and we had no choice but to arrive at 11 pm. The room was tiny and not worth the Rs. 1800; the toilet hadn’t been cleaned after the previous stay, water dripped onto the table in the corner, and there were no phones, wardrobes, cupboards, or bed lights. The next morning we met the manager at the desk; he was courteous, helped us with our luggage, and stayed until we got a cab.
