The landscaping and nature on the farm were beautiful. We were in a very dark small suite with not enough lighting. There’s a communal kitchen, which is fine, but the stove wasn’t working. The bathroom was not great.

Getting out into the countryside was nice, but the lighting felt a bit too dark and the place seemed a bit weathered.

The lodge accommodation was lovely, and Johlene was wonderful—helpful and kind. We enjoyed cooling off in the pool and braaied in the lapa.

The location was great, and we stayed in one of the big lodges that were beautifully appointed with all the necessary facilities, even our own splash pool. The access road could have been better, though, because we were in a normal sedan.
