The rooms were spacious and offered beautiful views, and the pool was quiet and lovely; breakfast was also good. However, the first room was missing a TV remote and lacked a towel rack for hanging towels.

The staff were fantastic and really attentive, but the Wi‑Fi didn’t work, it’s very far from everything, and there are no restaurants open from 8 am nearby.

The location was great, the breakfast was quiet and lovely, but the security barrier didn’t work, so I had to walk to reception to get someone to open the barrier for my car.

The staff were incredibly warm, welcoming, and friendly, and the facilities and location were stunning, with a delicious breakfast that offered a good range of options.

The hotel’s design is clean and surprisingly grand, and the rooms feel upscale with really classy fixtures. I was impressed by the APPELLES toiletries and loved wandering through their bamboo groves, rice paddies and tea fields. The restaurant next door serves local food under a huge, centuries‑old camphor tree, and the nights are dead quiet with fresh, crisp air. An upgrade on arrival made the whole getaway feel even better – a solid recommendation from a friend that lived up to the hype.
