“terrible!”
The breakfast featured tasty local Sri Lankan dishes. However, the hotel’s welcome left a lot to be desired; the staff seemed uninterested and gave no information when I was shown to my room except a phone number for reception. When I asked for a pool towel, I had to wait 20 minutes, only to be told the staff had forgotten it and had to call someone to bring one, with no apology. Later that evening I called reception for help with the TV, but the person didn’t speak English and no one came. The room was small for a resort, and basic details were poorly organized. The bathroom’s local design caused everything to get wet, and the building’s finishes were low quality with makeshift alterations. The dining area was huge, set up with heavy furniture that seemed more suited to a function room, and it felt uninviting. The pool lacked loungers; guests had to bring their own furniture from the children’s park. I booked for three nights but left after one.
