The structure is very well kept, even in the details, and the location is extremely quiet surrounded by greenery; however, the blackout curtains on the large windows on the ground floor do not block light, so I suggest always asking that the room’s bathroom is not for disabled unless you have long legs! The toilet is about 7/10 cm higher than normal.

The place is wonderful, a peaceful escape far from any stress. The rooms are spacious and always clean, and the breakfast is truly delicious ❤️. Everything else was satisfactory, except that sometimes our room was cleaned during breakfast, which we liked less.

The venue is charming—a former barn that’s been renovated while keeping its rustic appeal, perfect for a weekend getaway to explore the Piacenza castles or enjoy the Salsomaggiore spas. They were amazing with kids: we arrived with a 7‑month‑old, had asked for a crib and the room already had a crib, changing table and a small bathtub, and breakfast was set with a high chair, plastic cup and plate for the child. The only downside was the very strict check‑in: we got there just before 14:00 (the check‑in time) at 13:40, but the gate to the driveway wouldn’t open no matter how we rang or called, and it only opened a split second after 14:00, after which we were welcomed, so it’s best not to arrive early or to give plenty of notice.
