I had a fantastic time; the property was spotless and everything was easily reachable. They offered several on‑site dining options and a small convenience shop for snacks. The staff were very friendly and helpful. One evening the restaurant hosted live music, and people danced and smiled. The food was delicious: French toast for breakfast and conch fritters for lunch. The water was incredibly peaceful and beautiful, and as a bonus I saw pelicans and sharks near the pier. I’ll definitely return!

We’re frequent travelers who’ve seen many places, even in poorer parts of the world, but the Bahamas disappointed us. The resort feels very old; it used to be a nice place with good rooms. The location is good, right by the harbor with a great view. The Radio Beach—nice but filthy and littered—is only a few minutes’ walk away, and there are small shops and restaurants nearby. The reception was unhelpful and rude; we were not shown or explained anything. They didn’t give us a map, and we weren’t escorted to our room or offered assistance with our luggage. When we finally found our cottage—spartan, worn but okay—we just wanted to unpack and go to the beach. We were told our shower was unusable because a broken faucet was stuck in the shower base. Reception said we had to move because nobody was there to fix it. Why let us occupy a room that’s obviously broken? After a terse reply, we packed up again, still with no help. The entire common area was closed off and a construction site; the whole day was filled with drilling, hammering, and noise, so we couldn’t relax by the pool. We weren’t informed beforehand, and our complaints were ignored; no compensation was offered. The cleaning staff were friendly but the cleaning itself was lacking. New towels were provided, but the floor was black as turnip. What concerns me most is that the large number of bull sharks in the harbor was not explicitly mentioned. We’re divers and know the risks, but someone who thinks they can jump into the water from the pier should not be left to worry about the return trip. In short, the money and stars are not worth it. Kindness costs nothing, and a sponge and cleaning supplies should be standard daily.

Breakfast was great, and the view over the marina with its brilliant blue water was amazing. The food overall was outstanding, some of the best on the island. The pool was very fun, and the excursions were great! However, there was mold on the ceiling and the doors, the pressure washing of the sidewalk flooded the front of the room, and there were roaches in the bathroom. It’s a rough part of the island.
