“Incredible hostel for a snow trip. Staff are beyond nice. Location is perfect. Meet great people.”

This accommodation truly surpassed my expectations. I thought the location was perfect: a 15‑minute drive to the nearest resort, Niseko Hirafu, and the friendly staff even offered a free shuttle to and from Niseko Hirafu, making it ideal. Everything needed in Kutchan—good restaurants, grocery and convenience stores, and easy access to the snow resorts—is within reach. The hostel was always clean, with no mess problems. The facilities included nice bathrooms, showers, and a laundry room, and the kitchen exceeded what I’d expect from a hostel. I met many friendly guests, and there was always a lively flow of people coming and going.

I was blown away by this hostel—clean facilities, a huge kitchen with everything you need, and rooms that, while small, offered plenty of storage. The owners, Suke-san and Kana-san, were incredibly helpful, arranging restaurant bookings, Yamato Black Cat deliveries, and local onsen and dining tips. They also run a daily shuttle to Niseko Hirafu at set times, which is perfect for short stays, though renting a car is better for longer trips to explore more resorts. Parking is abundant—more spots than rooms. I can’t recommend it enough; it’s a great spot to meet fellow skiers and snowboarders, and Suke-san and Kana-san made the whole experience a breeze.

We booked a private twin room with two beds, which felt cozy and offered great value while traveling. Though not the biggest room, it had ample under-bed storage, and the hostel provided a separate gear room for drying ski equipment. Shared bathrooms and other spaces were very clean, with good water pressure, a nice kitchen, and the owners were kind and accommodating—daily pick‑ups and drop‑offs to the Welcome Center for skiing, plus extra pick‑ups and drop‑offs to catch our buses to CTS airport. We mainly used the property’s app for communication; it worked fine, though I wonder if texting or WhatsApp might be easier.

The staff were friendly, the facilities were great, and the shuttle service to the snow fields worked well.
