“Sehr zu empfehlende Unterkunft”

A very centrally located historic building with modern, bright rooms, all brand new and tasteful. The reception was super friendly and helped with any requests right away. Great value for money. Everything was functional, even the mini‑kitchen. I stayed there repeatedly. The hotel doesn’t offer breakfast, but there are excellent bakeries and pastry shops just a few steps away. Parking works in front of the building or on the many opposite parking lots.

The hotel sits right in the city centre, only about a 15‑minute walk from the train station, with the Bodensee reachable by rail in roughly 30 minutes and Zurich in about an hour. However, there are just three parking spots for eight rooms and only limited or paid parking nearby, no construction currently, and the narrow staircase makes moving luggage a challenge.

“Schöner Aufenthalt”

Located within walking distance of the station and close to two supermarkets, the staff—especially Jennifer and Claudia—were very friendly and helped carry my bags up to the first floor. My room was large, bright, and well equipped with a coffee maker, a mini‑kitchenette and a fridge, and breakfast cost a reasonable 10.50 CHF. It would have been nice to have a small luggage rack, the room can get quite warm in summer due to construction (they provided a fan on request), and offering standard linear TV channels like SRF, ARD, and ZDF would improve the stay, though the documentaries on Spiegel TV and BBC were interesting.

Great value for money with easy access to St Gallen. The station is less than a five‑minute walk, and trains run every 15 minutes. COOP is just a few minutes away. I booked a single room but it felt very spacious, with two windows offering a good view over the main road—quiet and very peaceful at night. The place was spotless, the bed and linens super comfy, and the host was warm and welcoming. Highly recommend.
