“Good location, great front desk staff, clean, spacious…but check toilets first.”

The place was clean and the room was spacious with a king size bed, a refrigerator, and a microwave. Two odd little touches we liked were a doorstop that kept the door open while we carried luggage, and a door alarm that was just loud enough to warn us if the door was ajar; we’ve never seen that in any motel before. The accommodations were fine, but I’ll point out the things I didn’t like. We checked in at 3 o’clock in the afternoon, left for the city, and didn’t return to the room until 1 o’clock in the morning, when we discovered the toilet didn’t flush properly. I spent almost 45 minutes trying to get a piece of toilet paper to flush down by repeatedly letting the tank fill and flushing again. I didn’t call the property then because my husband was already asleep. In the morning I called the front desk to report the issue. Mary, the office manager, was very nice and listened to me describe the situation in detail. She talked on the phone for a long time about possible solutions, but also said I should have called her even though it was early morning. She said they would have moved us to another room where we could sleep and use the toilet without moving our stuff, but because I didn’t call immediately she couldn’t offer a solution at that time. She was right about that, but she was very willing to listen and offered me a partial refund. Lesson learned…check the toilet before anything else! I think checking toilet function should be standard practice in any motel; the cleaning staff just needs to make that part of the routine. But again, Mary was patient, understanding, and excellent at customer relations.

I'll give them credit where credit is due - they do have smoking rooms, which was a big plus for me. Plus, the prices were super cheap. However, I was really disappointed that you can't smoke outside in the designated smoking area, and they didn't even have a microwave in the room.

“Overall fine. Would stay there again but NoT on the street side”

The location was actually pretty convenient, with food and freeways nearby, and the staff was friendly. However, things started to go downhill when we realized there were no towels or washcloths in the room, and we only got one towel for the three of us at check-in. To make matters worse, the hairdryer didn't work, and our room was facing the street, which was super noisy.

“Gross rude and dangerous had a lady try to break down our door looking for drug money she was owed by the next room over”

I'm not even sure where to start with this place - it was shabby at best, and I wouldn't believe anything the website says. The doors to the rooms had been broken into, and the locks were basically useless. They wouldn't even give you another room key if you lost it, and you had to ask to be let in for the rest of your stay. And to top it all off, they kept your deposit, even if you asked for new towels, and they only gave you one towel per room. It was a total nightmare.
