I loved that it was so traditional but well-kept, and it felt very safe. It had the works (onsen, bath, pool), and good parking space. The room had a beautiful view of the river and when the sun came in it was gorgeous! The staff were super lovely, helpful, and polite, especially the two men at the front desk - they made our stay! Overall a really nice place and would gladly stay again if I could

The décor was very typical of a traditional Japanese ryokan, and the pool and whole spa complex were lovely. The surroundings of the hotel were very pretty, and the private bath in the room was a treat. The minibar was discreet, and the staff were very hospitable. The rooms felt a bit dated, but that old‑world charm was still present. There was a lack of English explanations for the kettle, the air conditioning, and how to use the onsen.

The room was authentic, and the staff were friendly. The building was definitely not a five‑star place, with a mix of authentic and plastic elements. The sauna area had lost its former glory. The massage, however, was fantastic.
