A nice, quiet spot, 10 minutes outside Kuldiga. The cottage has a beautiful view of a rolling field where cows regularly come to graze. Plenty of space around the cottage; inside it was also fine for us. We’ve been here once before, and it’s a perfect place near Kuldiga.

Everything. The host is wonderful. The house is in a quiet spot. Forest, lake, cows graze nearby, rabbits visit. The city is close. The house is impeccably clean. There’s a very steep staircase to the second floor.

A huge, spotless house with all the basics—plenty of dishes, utensils, a microwave, fridge, food, board games, DVDs, a TV, and info on nearby spots—plus a shower and two toilets. The setting is in nature, so it’s very peaceful. The owner met us briefly, was friendly, but we didn’t need anything from her. The price was very good. The only downsides were that it isn’t marked on Google Maps, making it hard to find the first time, a few doors need minor repairs, and the passage between the rooms and the upstairs bathroom isn’t safe; if you’re coming from the bathroom you could accidentally knock someone down on the stairs, so you have to be careful.
