The staff were friendly, the hotel room was lovely, the location was good, and the place was peaceful and quiet—I love it.

The room I received wasn’t the type I had booked, and the hotel claimed they had notified me a few days earlier that it was no longer available, yet they didn’t actually do that; as a result, I ended up with duplicate reservations for the same room. How can I resolve a situation where the room type differs from what was reserved, and how can my children sleep separately from me?
