Historic Anchorage Hotel

“Really nice and I would stay there again if I was in Anchorage.”

I really enjoyed the bar area and the breakfast that was served in the room; the hotel room itself was spotlessly clean and super comfy. The location in central Anchorage was great, and there were good restaurants right nearby. The bed was very comfortable, but the lack of AC meant we had to leave the window open for ventilation, which made the outside noise very loud.

The spot is perfect if you need to be in town, but watch out for the junkies. It feels like a total rip‑off, but so does everything else in the city, and the street opposite is noisy with junkies making noise until late at night.

“Great hotel, but skip the breakfast.”

The building is beautifully restored, the bed is comfortable, and the rooms are nice. The staff at check‑in and check‑out were excellent. However, the breakfast was dismal, served in paper bowls and cups with very limited choices, and the breakfast staff member seemed to dislike the job. The hotel would have earned a higher rating if it didn’t serve breakfast at all, which lowered our score.

“Staff were great as well as the location but room was not as clean nor comfortable”

It’s close to shops and restaurants, but it wasn’t the cleanest and the price was on the expensive side.
