I only stayed a short while, but the reception staff Cacaia and Henrique already make me want to return next time I’m in Rio. If a spot opens up when I come back, I’ll definitely choose this hostel first. The space feels cozy, homely, and well organized.

The place is, if you will, quirky in a good way. It’s rustic yet very snug. The owners are extremely attentive and the vibe feels family‑like and calm. The rooms are spotless, with fresh, fragrant linens.

The staff, especially Henrique and Mrs. Cacaia, were incredibly kind and made sure we had the privacy we needed. Their respect and genuine hospitality stood out, and their generosity added a nice personal touch to the stay.

The front desk was friendly and handled everything quickly, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, the stairwell felt a bit unsafe – the handrail was wobbly and the steps were slippery at times.

This place feels like a family‑run hostel and the breakfast was seriously amazing – fresh, tasty, and served with a smile. Staying here made the carnival even more memorable; the vibe of the hostel just fit the whole celebration.
