“Disappointing and glad to leave”
I was shocked by how many glowing reviews this place has, yet the reality was far from it. The staff were friendly and the pool was nice, but the hotel is massively overpriced and underwhelming. The room was dingy, dark, and located on old dark steps in the basement of the older building, with poor lighting and a terrible shower that required you to hold it in your hand. Tiles were badly damaged, furniture was scruffy, and overall maintenance was lacking. Noise was a constant issue from neighbours on both sides and above, even to the point of hearing them urinating in the bathroom. The pool area was directly in front of the room with no privacy curtain, so there was no privacy at all. Breakfast was average, served in a tiny outdoor area that was cold during our stay. For €25 you could rent two sunbeds on the beach, which is shocking, especially since the room cost £175 per night—definitely not cheap. I would not stay here again. I was glad we only stayed for two nights and got to move on, especially after a day of torrential rain that left us stuck in the depressing room. I honestly think that room should be retired; it’s awful. When I asked about moving rooms, I was told the hotel was full and no other rooms were available.
