I love the friendly host and the well‑lit room with all the equipment in a spacious setting. I highly recommend it for solo travelers. The host cares about guests’ travel situations and safety, is willing to help with any difficulty, and even took me to local spots like the yogurt place, inexpensive restaurants, and fruit stalls that locals know. I had a last‑minute issue and the host was very understanding. It was amazing, and I’ll definitely stay here again next time I visit Nepal.

Everything is perfect at this inn: the welcome is friendly, the room is clean, quiet, and comfortable. Breakfast is excellent. The old town is easy to reach without the crowds, and all the conveniences are around the guesthouse. You can also take lovely walks through the rice paddies and gardens.

I visited twice for several days, the second time for the festival in mid‑December that is far from tourist‑crowded and is worth seeing just for the dance and music performances and the many stalls with special food. Bhaktapur looks like a film set to western visitors, but it’s actually the other way around: the film sets look like Bhaktapur. That much “authenticity” is rare today. I had a good time each visit and talked a lot with the two operators about day trips and local conditions. A portion of the income goes to a local children’s home; they don’t advertise it for business reasons, but I still find it worth mentioning. Ask for the homemade peanut butter at breakfast for the full taste experience! Nothing negative.
