We spent 2 months in Thailand this season, and I can say that The Retreat was our best choice. Clean resort in a quiet location, with spacious rooms, regularly cleaned. Courtyard with a small pool and jacuzzi, always clean. Great breakfast, free drinking water, other drinks at reasonable prices. The owner was helpful and knew how to organize everything according to your ideas. Bicycles were available for free - since there was not much traffic in the area, you could safely get to one of the most beautiful beaches in Khao Lak in a few minutes. There are several good restaurants in the area and beautiful Buddhist temple, where ceremonies are held regularly. We will definitely stay here again in the future

“Peaceful, spotless, and genuinely welcoming-couldn’t ask for more.”

A truly exceptional stay. The property is beautifully set in the heart of nature, offering a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere—you wake up to the sound of birds and complete calm. Every morning started with a delicious, high‑quality breakfast, and the entire place was spotless and impeccably maintained. The location is ideal if you’re looking for tranquility. Khuk Khak Beach is less than 10 minutes away by bike, and we loved using the free bikes provided by the property to get there. We also visited Pak Weep Beach (around a 12‑minute drive), which was equally beautiful. One of the highlights was biking about 15 minutes to feed the elephants—a special experience. We ate almost every day at a lovely local restaurant called BOHO Restaurant, just 5 minutes away by bike—delicious food, a great atmosphere, and we were happy to support a small local business. We also enjoyed daily massages on the beach at Khuk Khak with a wonderful lady called Vivi—highly recommended. We rented a car for a few days and visited Phuket, but after experiencing the crowds, we were more than happy to return to the calm and beauty of Khao Lak. What really made our stay stand out was the staff—genuinely warm, kind, and always ready to help with anything. We felt very well looked after and wouldn’t hesitate to return. If you’re looking for peace, nature, and a slower pace of life, this place is absolutely perfect. That we had to leave 😥
