“Une jolie parenthèse bien agréable”
The building looked nice, was carefully decorated, and the pool was pleasant; coffee, tea, and herbal tea were available in the lobby. The room was truly large, and the bathroom was just as big and very clean. Breakfast served in the courtyard was very hearty, featuring a specialty of avocado cream, whipped cheese, all seasoned with garlic (yes, yes), a little gastronomic gem to start the morning, beautiful to look at and … to taste, but I won’t spoil the family secret! Nothing was negative! I was just surprised there was no TV in the room (you could watch one on the ground‑floor lounge), but that was only for catching up on world news, which we managed on our phones, and the Wi‑Fi was very effective, so we were not inconvenienced at all. By notifying the night before, we could have arranged a meal; the owners had sent an email a few days earlier, but when you’re traveling like we were, it’s hard to read everything for each booking! So finding a place to eat on a Monday nearby wasn’t easy either… I regret not telling them the night before that we wanted to dine, because I’m sure their kitchen would have been family‑style and excellent, as our stay was too short.
