I stayed at the entrance of Horesz Monastery, and it was convenient because I could go straight there whenever I wanted to visit the monastery. The room was very clean and spacious. From the windows of the pension building, the monastery was visible, and my room had a small balcony where I could sit on a chair, drink tea, and enjoy the countryside scenery. There was a large salon with a TV and a kitchen, and I could store groceries I had bought in the refrigerator. During my stay, my stomach was upset, but the owner woman brought me medicine and warm herbal tea, which helped me recover. The family running the accommodation were very kind and helpful. It would have been nice if the room had a kettle to boil water. Because of the location near the monastery, I felt it was more suited for travelers who drive. It takes almost 40 minutes on foot from the station, so I recommend taking a taxi for the round trip between the station and the accommodation (Horesz Monastery).

First of all, the location is at the entrance of the Horezi Monastery, which feels like a storybook setting, with a forest right outside the inn and a beautiful, clean, quiet landscape—a perfect spot to reconnect with nature. The interior is decorated in Brâncovenesc style, taking you back in time. The hosts, Mrs. Ioana and her husband, are warm and special people in every way, and I definitely recommend visiting the owner’s clay product shop located right at the monastery gate. It’s a lovely place to see.
