The property sits amid greenery with a river just a few steps away; the room offers all the amenities you’d expect from a city hotel. There are plenty of spots to sit and relax—sofas, hammocks, wooden seating, a dining hall, and more. The staff, all locals, were friendly and warm. Food was house‑made, good quality, and varied. Traffic noise was minimal, though it wasn’t entirely free of dust and pollution. A nearby village offers local cuisine. Owner Mr Dilsher was very helpful. The site is reachable by taxi or bus from Aut (Aut‑Banjar‑Bhattaad) and is about 1 45–2 hr drive from Aut with parking available. The hotel is accessed by a short 5‑minute descent; this is doable for senior citizens unless they have walking problems.

The food, especially the trout, was great. The staff were a bit rude when the owner wasn’t around.

We enjoyed a wonderful stay at Anglers Retreat in Tirthan. The minimalist décor and thoughtful landscaping blend beautifully with the natural surroundings, and everything was neat, clean, and well maintained, giving a peaceful vibe. The screen‑free environment helped us truly disconnect. The hammocks were perfect for unwinding. Staff were extremely friendly and attentive, making the stay even better. We had chosen the place mainly for fishing, but after two days we didn’t catch any fish; still, being by the river was relaxing. Things to note: getting to the property can be a bit tough, especially for families with kids under 5 or guests over 60. A hair dryer in the rooms would be helpful. Food was good but pricey, so factor that into your budget. Overall, a lovely stay for those wanting to disconnect and enjoy nature.

I had an incredible stay at this property, which boasts stunning surroundings and all the amenities needed to relax and unwind. The hospitality, courtesy of Dilsher, was truly exceptional. I wholeheartedly recommend booking here - it's the best decision you'll make.
