The Aqua Hotel, Burgas, is centrally located 1.5 km from the Sea Garden and beach. It features a Sport Center with indoor swimming pool, gym, and free WiFi. The Bistro Aqua serves a variety of dishes and drinks. The hotel offers a buffet breakfast, 3 conference rooms, and a sport centre with 3 saunas and massage centre. All rooms were renovated in 2024.

The breakfast wasn’t very varied but what was offered was good and sufficient. The location isn’t exactly in the city centre, yet a 20–25‑minute walk gets you to the centre or the sea. The rooms on our floor were renovated and modern. The overall cleanliness was fine, but there were traces of dead flies on the walls that looked disgusting, and the shower head needed a minor repair and lime cleaning.

The modern Grand Hôtel is impressive, with a heated pool that’s a nice break after a long drive, a private and secure parking lot (free in front of the hotel), a decent breakfast, and a room and bathroom that are well sized.

A solid budget option for solo travelers, with a clean room, a decent breakfast, a view from the window that I loved, and good bus links. I felt safe. The whole hotel smells of old cigarette smoke. The renovated rooms look like they, but the quality is subpar; mattresses are thin and uncomfortable. Wifi is weak and often drops. Don’t book the pool or gym – they’re open from 10 am to 8 pm and feel very socialist. The toiletries are just a soap dispenser on the wall.
