I loved the lakeside setting and the food was excellent. The rooms sit under the pub and have a damp smell; a dehumidifier that looked like an air freshener was in the room, so this is probably a known issue.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, the room was lovely, and it was a great way to kick off the holiday.

The staff were very attentive and helpful, they escorted us to the room for check‑in and let us order food even though the kitchen was about to close. The place was spotless and cozy, with luxurious touches like a variety of teas, biscuits, and toiletries in the room. We stayed for one night before heading to Gatwick airport, and it was just around the corner—perfect. I would definitely return during the day to enjoy the view.
