Muong Long is just at the beginning of a tourist boom. At 1500 m it will be a similar retreat to Sa Pa one day. Muong Long Eco Resort is the first resort in town overlooking the city. Although it’s hard for a Westerner to get there (you need a motorcycle or private car), the roads here were amazing, and ending at an amazing resort was fantastic. I recommend Muong Long Eco Resort (and the Muong Long loop).
