We booked the Bonita Cruise as a family of two adults and two children and had a truly great time! At the time of booking, there were very few reviews, so I was a bit uncertain. I reached out directly via WhatsApp, and the communication was always friendly, professional, and reliable. On site, we were not disappointed at all. The ship had been recently modernized and looks very nice and well maintained. Our cabin was wonderful for our family: a large bed plus a single bed, a small balcony, and a surprisingly spacious bathroom with a bathtub. Everything was clean and comfortable. The crew was especially nice; Mr. Tiger and the whole team were incredibly friendly and attentive. Our guide Kai was also very likable, professional, and spoke clear English. The children were the only kids on board, but they were warmly welcomed by everyone and had a lot of fun. The crew also put a lot of effort into the meals. As vegetarians, we had many extra vegetarian dishes and alternatives—actually more than we could eat! There was always something for the kids as well. The program with kayaking, squid fishing, a cooking class, and the tour to Viet Hai Village by bike or electric buggy was very enjoyable. A small highlight was the onboard whirlpool and the two slides directly into the water. I had taken a Halong Bay cruise about 16 years ago and remembered it as very crowded and hectic. This time it was a completely different, much more relaxed experience. The departure from Ben Beo was straightforward, and the whole tour was pleasant and well organized. We really enjoyed our time on board and can recommend the Bonita Cruise without reservation—especially for families with children. We would book it again anytime.
