Alex and his wife were genuinely warm hosts, greeting us with a basket of fresh apples and local goodies. Breakfast was a highlight – they served a hot cheese doughnut straight from the oven and other mountain specialties. The Paint Horse cabin, however, had a persistent bathroom smell that drifted into the bedroom, making each visit to the loo uncomfortable. A bidet would also be a nice addition to the bathroom setup.

The chalet itself was wonderful, offering a charming setting. The room was super cozy, nicely heated, and the view was stunning, though the snugness felt a bit overwhelming at times.
