“RELAX TOTAL”

The dogs and cats were a constant source of joy—Canela the dog and the kittens were so affectionate, always protecting us and asking for cuddles; if you love animals, this place is perfect! The staff were super friendly and attentive, and the dinner was a treat; it’s pricey but worth trying those flavors. The site itself is beautiful with a pool and amazing views, ideal for disconnecting. We’ll be back! The only downside was the pillows, which were very low and hard, leaving us with neck pain the next morning. Everything else was fine.

It’s a magical spot that lets you fully unplug and immerse yourself in pure nature. The staff are fantastic, especially Soraya who made sure we were comfortable and attended to every need, and Rita the dog who would greet us with a wag every morning. Everything was perfect, and we’ll definitely return.

“Un sitio espectacular”

El sitio es precioso, el entorno, las instalaciones. tooodo. Las camas son comodidimas y las sábanas de lujo. Se nota que es un sitio mimado y muy limpio. La cena que ofrecen no merece la pena por 30€, nada está malo, pero nada del otro mundo, por poner alguna pega

“Escapada Mágica”

We spent an amazing weekend at El Refugio de Cristal in Hontanar. From the start, everything was perfect: the surroundings, the service, and the facilities. It’s a true gem for disconnecting. Susana’s service was flawless, friendly, and attentive. The place is beautiful, surrounded by nature, ideal for relaxing and meeting like‑minded people who want to escape city noise. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, with air conditioning (a big plus in summer), and they even allow pets. Our dog was free to roam the premises, enjoying himself as much as we did. Breakfasts are hearty and delicious, and we also dined there: all homemade, freshly prepared in a very family‑friendly atmosphere. For activities, there were plenty: we visited a nearby cheese factory and made our own cheese—a super fun experience. We also did a workshop to learn more about stars and the universe, stargazing under the dark, quiet sky at the refuge. There are hiking trails, viewpoints, and nature to explore. In short, it was a wonderful experience and highly recommended, especially since it was a birthday gift for my partner. We’ll definitely come back. Thank you for everything! The only downside was that it ended; it was a shame it was over, time flew by. Apart from that, nothing was really bad. If I had to pick one thing to mention, some exterior areas were already worn and I’d prioritize renovating those before adding more rooms.

“Beautiful spot in need of a spruce up”

Set in a stunning location with the most accommodating and welcoming staff. I loved the friendly dog, though it barked a bit during the night. The facilities and rooms feel a bit worn; a little refurbishment would push it to a 10/10.
