“Elderly Parents and Dog”
I arrived with my 62‑year‑old father, who is legally blind, my 58‑year‑old mother who has severe arthritis, and our very large golden retriever, and the staff were extremely accommodating and helpful. The best part is that the hotel is practically in front of Negombo Beach, a short walk away, and you can even see it from the patio; the main street nearby offers food of all sorts of cuisines, bars, souvenir shops, gemstones, and swim suits. The owner, Milan, is super nice and he dropped us off and picked us up from the boat trip to the lagoon, which is something you shouldn’t miss; I had never seen anything like it, and you can book that along with rental tuk‑tuks or scooters all within the hotel. The only downside was a thunderstorm while I was asleep; I didn’t notice anything, but my parents woke up because my dog was very scared and the electricity went off for an hour. I personally didn’t notice it, considering it happened at 2 AM, so it wasn’t a big deal for us.
