The host was very friendly, the food tasted great, the rooms were lovingly decorated, and the overall atmosphere was clean and tasteful. However, because the building is old, some rooms feel cramped, so I can only stand upright in them; the same issue applies to the shower, which is a minor inconvenience at a high level of comfort.

The location next to the sea was nice, but the view was of a tired building beside a railway line. The room was tiny; I couldn’t sit on the toilet because my legs were too long and the shower was too close, so I had to sit sideways, which was uncomfortable. A shelf in the bathroom for toiletries or a toothbrush would have been useful, and a bit more water in the room would have been nice.

Peter and Ruth were great hosts, and we really enjoyed the breakfasts and dinner. The hotel was very clean and nicely decorated. Our room on the top floor was a little small with a tiny en‑suite, but the view was beautiful.
