The bar was great. The toilets and showers were not good.

I returned for a second stay and found the hostel in a new building with good transport links; it’s not in the center but still easy to reach anywhere. The beds are arranged to give each person privacy, and the windows offer nice views. The bathrooms have minor flaws, but the number of showers and toilets was sufficient for everyone on the floor. The best part was the staff, who were always ready to help with any question and to make a good coffee. The only downside was that there was only one charging socket in the entire room. There is a USB hub near each bed, but mine didn’t work, which is a big issue during any trip.

I was pleasantly surprised by how well‑located the hostel is, right next to the transport links which made getting around the city a breeze. The dormitory turned out to be surprisingly spacious, so I never felt cramped at all. I would definitely recommend it if you’re looking for a convenient spot. On the downside, the RER station next to the hostel made me uneasy because of the many homeless people and beggars in the area. I spent seven nights in a dorm where two older women stayed. One was very friendly, but the other was quite difficult; she practically forbade us from talking in the room during the day, as if we had to stay silent all the time. One night a young girl who had just arrived coughed a lot, and this woman kept telling her to be quiet and stop coughing, even yelling at her between about 23:00 and 04:00. She also scolded her for moving in her bed. As a result, we slept very little that night. I also felt that some people were staying there permanently. One woman cooked in her room and the smell of onions and spices lingered in the dorm. She never left and behaved as if she were at home. I noticed several very elderly people and others who seemed homeless using the showers to wash themselves and their clothes. I think offering accommodation to people in precarious situations is a good initiative, but mixing those who live there with passing travelers can create difficult situations. It would be better, in my opinion, to have dedicated spaces or rooms so everyone can stay in good conditions. Overall, my experience was mixed, mainly because of the dorm’s atmosphere and lack of quiet at night.
