The landscape around the place is gorgeous, and the silence is a nice break from the usual noise. That pool is a real highlight – crystal clear and just the right size. Only downside: the hot‑water system was a bit finicky, took a while to warm up.

We stopped here on our road trip to Paso Vergara and it turned out to be an unforgettable break. The surroundings are incredible, the food was top‑notch, and the owners were super friendly. Next time we’ll definitely book a few days instead of just a night.

The “Refugio Tierras” blew us away with its panoramic mountain views and the personal touch from Maca and Nico. It sits right in the heart of the range, making every other mountain hut look plain by comparison. Service was spot‑on, felt like they really cared.
