The location is perfect, reachable on foot from the station, and the centre is just a step away. The cleanliness is excellent and the bed is comfortable. No complaints.

“Sicherheitsrisiko….gesetzliche Standarts sind nicht eingehalten”

The location was very central, but the room sold as a 30 qm 6‑person space turned out to be only 10 qm, with 3 bunk beds taking up 6 qm. Room 103B didn’t even meet the legal minimum of 20 qm required in the Veneto region. The 3 bunk beds and a 50 cm corridor left no room to move when someone got out of bed, making it unsafe in an emergency. I would have reported it to the police if I weren’t a regular at Hostello in Trieste and otherwise satisfied. I paid 47 € for a room that was very expensive for a hostel, checked out immediately after seeing the room, drove 450 km home, and I’m used to staying in hostels across Europe out of love for the hostel vibe—so as a manager the price was definitely not the deciding factor.

“Accogliente, una garanzia”

The common areas, design and young, helpful staff—especially the girls in uniform—made this hostel feel like a hotel. The only downside might be that the area behind the hostel isn’t great, and there were a few chairs in the room that were a bit odd.

The location is good, close to everything, but it’s a pity you can’t leave your luggage after check‑out if you still have about 3 h until the bus.
