A quiet, pleasant hotel just outside Bayonne; dogs are allowed for a €10 fee, the room is fairly roomy, on‑site parking is available, and the staff we met were helpful and friendly.

View of river from my room. Parking. Helpful staff. An hour walk next to the river into centre ville / cathedral (albeit next to busy slow traffic in early evening for most of the walk). Road between hotel and river. Some traffic noise in the morning
