“Semplice”

The open areas, kitchen, and bar were fine, and the outdoor shower was great for rinsing off and avoiding sand when entering the rooms. Cleanliness was an issue: some beds had mattresses while others had a cheap foam mattress, and the sheets had holes; when the cleaning lady came, she simply changed the sheets without cleaning the bed at all. From the low bed you could see the slats of the upper bed covered in dust and hair from previous guests. Because the place wasn’t clean, we found a dead gecko hanging between the slats of the upper bed, which would have been visible if a minimum amount of cleaning had been done. The air conditioning was only turned on at 23:00, and you could ask for it earlier, but it would have been easier to have it on sooner to avoid taking three showers in the evening. When it was on it became icy, making it unpleasant to sleep in those temperatures. It would have been better to set it to a higher temperature earlier to counter the outside humidity, so that in the evening the average temperature would be comfortable and not freezing. The breakfast was inexpensive but very limited.
