The place sits right on the river and the staff were super helpful; when the fan broke at 5 am, he immediately swapped it for a new one, and he also assisted me with currency exchange and paid in euros. The food was great, everything was fine. The only downside was that the whole area, even down the river, sometimes has no electricity – not the hotel’s fault, just the local situation.

The terrace was nice. In some rooms the outlets didn’t work, and we ended up without electricity all night.

Great and friendly. It’s not the Ritz, but if I visit Janjanbureh again I’ll choose this place as it seems the best option.

The location is good. There’s a frog living permanently in the toilet, dirt and bugs everywhere, no Wi‑Fi, and at 41 °C there’s no air‑conditioning.

From the common terrace you can swim in the Gambia River. The shower had very low water pressure.
