The park, pool, staff, and tea time were good. The room was too small, the bathroom needed fixing, there was no sea access because the beach is under construction and a fence separates the hotel from the shore, the restaurant is pricey—much more than higher‑tier Bali hotels—and portions are tiny. It feels a bit trapped because nearby warungs are either closed or shabby.

The grounds and poolside were beautiful, yet the ongoing seawall construction spoiled the peace of the surroundings; it's beyond the hotel’s control, but it will be interesting to see how it changes Candidasa’s character in the future.

Breakfast was amazing; we paid for it and really enjoyed the menu. The staff were lovely, remembered our names and orders each day, and were very attentive and welcoming. The hotel and grounds are beautiful, creating a very relaxing environment.

I loved the family‑friendly vibe and the staff were welcoming and helpful, but the bar prices were excessively high—Hendricks gin and tonic cost $23 AUD a glass.

This place is beautiful and you feel relaxed the moment you step in; the abundance of open space is rare, though food and beverage prices are quite steep.
