The location is right on the beach. The price transparency was lacking: the accommodation itself was okay, but the boat transfer—$50 each way—costed more than the stay. Additional fees popped up for parking on a foreign hotel lot and for the shuttle from there to the dock. Nobody spoke English on site, so communication went through a family member on WhatsApp, complicating things. A pool was supposedly in front of the property per photos, but it wasn’t there, at least not in front of our hut. Booking this spot requires a strong nature connection. Many animals entered the house; without air conditioning, we had to open windows and doors. Bats lived under the roof, spreading droppings throughout the hut, though we had mosquito nets and fans to keep flies away. Solar power supplied the electricity, which was cool, but the inverter hung in the living area and made loud noises every few minutes, disturbing the night.
