The location is great, the room, beds, and bathrooms are very good and clean, the room and bathroom are spacious with an excellent outdoor area—perfect for families with kids, and the place looks even better than the photos; my son had a blast.

Besides the amazing view, the lodge is stunningly clean and organized, with impeccable bedding and bath linens; the accommodation includes a large, comfortable, airy, well-lit, spotless lounge and suite, and the owners are extremely polite and pleasant. We followed the Gold Route from BH to Paraty, staying in seven cities along the way, and overall we liked almost every place, but Pousada das Pedras was unbeatable in every way; we regret staying there for only one night because we already had rooms booked elsewhere, and it’s a place that leaves you longing for more.

The lodge is excellent, with easy access to the center of Passa Quatro, yet away from the bustle for those seeking a quieter spot. The Maria Fumaça train passes nicely in front on weekends and is a great attraction. Breakfast is very well prepared, varied, typically Minas Gerais style, with that warm cheese bread. The owners and staff are very friendly and helpful, attentive to every detail and offering many tour tips.
