The photos do not match reality. I did not stay there and requested the same evening reservation; the free cancellation that was supposed to be processed one week later still hasn’t been handled despite repeated calls, messages, and WhatsApp attempts. The cleanliness, location, and the deliberate lack of communication from the manager on the booking platform, who is unresponsive, are all problematic.

Nothing positive. The stay was a danger to life and health; I was robbed during my stay and never felt safe. The safety was compromised because anyone could enter or leave freely, the window in my apartment wouldn't close, there were mice in the room, the beds were broken, the shower water pressure was almost nonexistent, breakfast offered no choice and disappeared after the first night, and I can only strongly warn against this place.

The staff lady was available, but we stayed in the Mbouda room, which was dirty and the toilets were filthy. We arrived after another guest had left and the only thing they did was change the sheets; the bed headboard was white with many stains. Breakfast was included in the price, we stayed two nights and never got to have breakfast even once. On the first morning we went down at 8:45 am to find out how it worked; the man at reception told us breakfast started at 8 am, but it was almost 9 am, the cook was absent, and we had to leave to continue our activities. He said not to worry, we would catch up. The next day the same scenario, except they delivered the wrong beans. I had booked with great enthusiasm, but the experience was CHAOTIC. I do not recommend it.

The room was huge, with a balcony sitting area that let me host guests comfortably, and the AC worked well in Douala’s heat—though I had to turn it off manually on the wall because the remote was missing. Most staff were friendly, especially Eval and Dora, who went above and beyond to make my visit memorable. Breakfast, however, was limited to a single item, “Beignet arico”; while tasty, it would be better if there were more options for longer stays.
