For a certain type of travellers, this is “the place”! And we were those :-) The site is exquisite in its blend of beauty and simplicity. The round little house of wood and rocks, the little garden at its end, and the other cute structure with a personal toilet, shower, and sink (there is another sink in the house, plus a small fridge). The neighbours are close enough to give a sense of security, yet far enough to feel somewhat secluded. It’s a peaceful spot where you hear no cars but some dogs and donkeys. :-). During our season, it was very dry, but not far; you have many beach accesses. Sao Luis isn’t far either for groceries and pleasant local cafés. In one of those, seeing special artwork, we learned that in certain seasons, Sao Luis also promotes all sorts of art and artists in town. Otherwise, Tanja was so welcoming and helpful when we asked for a ventilator, which brought a pleasant breeze to our summer nights there. Very happy that creative people like Tanja and Michael create with their own hands such original little places to discover and enjoy. The only thing we think is that the ventilator should have been there already; it made a big difference in terms of comfort.
