The staff were very attentive and the food—both dinner and breakfast—was good; I only stayed one night, so I didn’t get to explore everything. Everything else was fine, but the rooms could use an upgrade.

The place was very quiet and calm, but the man who visited the rooms was a bit odd. The staff were friendly, though. My stay was short.

We spent the weekend at Gamodh Citadel and it was a great experience. The hotel was easy to locate and close to most of Anuradhapura’s main sights. Everyone on staff was friendly, welcoming and helpful all the time. Our room was clean, roomy and comfortable, and the swimming pool was also spotless and well maintained. We were glad to have a security guard on site and safe, secure parking, which gave us peace of mind. Breakfast at the hotel was delicious, and the staff happily refilled our food whenever we asked, which was a nice touch. All in all, it was a wonderful stay and we’ll definitely return! ❤️

The location and garden were lovely, and the staff were exceptional, though it wasn’t a major issue that our room had to be changed.

The pool, the staff’s responsiveness (room change due to a defective AC), the meals and breakfast, the offered services, and the pleasant surroundings and outdoor spaces were all excellent. The equipment was not all operational, and the room change left the second room a bit less good than the first, but otherwise nothing to add.
