Riad Tchaikana, nestled in Marrakech's Medina, boasts a sun terrace with breathtaking views. Elegant, individually decorated rooms feature ceiling fans and complimentary Wi-Fi. A central patio and en suite bathrooms with baths or showers complete the accommodations. A continental breakfast is served, and massages, hammam, camel rides, and excursions can be arranged. The Koutoubia Mosque is a 20-minute walk away.

Our room, the Nomad Suite, had a very original and spacious décor! The varied and delicious breakfast was a highlight. The setting is peaceful, surrounded by orange trees and birds, and conveniently positioned for sightseeing. A big thank you to Naoual for welcoming us and taking us to Jemaa el‑Fna upon arrival.

Khadija and her well‑coordinated team gave a warm, professional welcome. We especially appreciated Naoual guiding us to Jemaa el‑Fna and pointing out good spots in the souks and restaurants, though we still got lost a few times in the medina’s maze! The riad is stunning, tastefully decorated in authentic Moroccan style, and ideally located a few minutes’ walk from major sites like Jemaa el‑Fna, the souks, and Ben Youssef Madrasa. It’s a true haven of peace amid the medina’s bustle, with only the early‑morning call to prayer breaking the silence, which adds to its charm. Among the four places we stayed in Morocco, this was our favorite.

The bed was extremely comfortable, the room spacious, and the terrace a pleasant spot for breakfast, while the central position inside the Marrakech medina was ideal. However, the price was far higher than comparable riads nearby, the bedroom door didn’t lock and the ground‑floor room opened straight onto the courtyard with little light and no privacy. The shower was tricky to operate, with unreliable hot water and four taps to balance the flow. Dead flies littered the room, and at this rate we expected a more substantial breakfast.
