The spot was excellent for an Osaka tourist, within walking distance of public transport and the Dotonbori area, the staff were great, and the room was very clean; this was my first time staying at an APA hotel. Breakfast wasn’t included in my rate and the selection for purchase was limited; on a few occasions I had to wait for a seat and only had 2.5 hours available, and the bedroom and shower were small.

The spot was unbeatable, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was very good. Everything else was fine.

The location is right in the heart of Dotonbori, steps from the action, but the rooms are absolutely tiny; we stayed only one night so it was fine, but a longer stay could be an issue for a family. The hotel also charges $AUD20 per hour if you want to check in early, and $AUD20 per hour for a late checkout, which isn’t a deal‑breaker but felt a bit “Ryan Air”‑ish.
