The Elysium Taksim

The staff were very helpful and tried to solve all our problems. Breakfasts were excellent with a wide choice of food. The electrical equipment in the room was poor: five lamps didn’t work and had to be replaced, some wall sockets were loose, and pulling plugs required holding them with my hand to keep them in place. There was an intermittent sewer smell in the toilets, and the room was noisy—street noise was noticeable even on the high floor with windows closed. Despite that, my overall impression is good.

The rooms were extra large with amazing views, and the pool was an added bonus. We booked at the very last minute and were pleasantly surprised. However, Taksim is a central location, yet it’s still quite a trek to the main tourist attractions, which made long days with kids tiring. The hotel sits next to a large construction site that dominates the views, though I couldn’t tell if it was active in terms of noise.

Excellent location, extremely helpful staff, and delicious breakfast. The rooms are spacious with beautiful panoramic views.

The location is great, a 10‑minute walk to Taksim Square and the metro station. Breakfast is good, and the duplex suite offers a beautiful view. The facilities feel a bit old.
