Purbeck House Hotel & Louisa Lodge

“A very enjoyable stay once again.”

The hotel is full of character and has beautiful original features. It’s in a great location, just a short walk to the bars, restaurants, shops, and the seafront of Swanage. The large private car park is a real bonus. Our room in the main hotel building was lovely and quiet, with a comfortable bed and good facilities. The hotel bar offers a good selection of reasonably priced drinks. We have stayed at Purbeck House several times over the years and will definitely return. The only downside was that the cooked breakfast wasn’t available on this visit, which has been a highlight of previous stays. A slightly more powerful shower would also be nice.

“Great location and parking. Friendly staff. Too expensive”

More often than not we didn’t have hot water and even the cold tap was hotter than the hot. Our room didn’t get made up until late in the afternoon. It said to put dirty towels in the bath. Due to very late housecleaning I put 1 towel in the bath and the better of the 2 hung over the edge of the bath, hence only 1 got replaced. It definitely was not worth the money
