We stopped at Hartford Hall on School Lane because it lay midway between Glasgow and Glastonbury, and I’m glad we did. The pub had a stunning mix of architectural flair, cozy with mismatched antique armchairs and soft lamplight. Conversations hummed quietly, the air carried the aroma of cask ale and hearty comfort food, and the staff were friendly and down‑to‑earth. Our room had just been refurbished, so it felt snug and comfortable; we slept with the window open and it was the best rest of the trip. I absolutely loved it!

The location was great and the rooms were lovely. We also stayed for Sunday lunch and the food was flawless. The team went above and beyond for us.
