The location of this water castle is unique, and you feel the historic vibe; we stayed on a warm day and enjoyed the garden sunshine. Check‑in was hassle‑free, and the friendly staff made everything enjoyable. The communal kitchen is a dream. Nothing to complain about.

We really liked the old, historically significant building and the cozy atmosphere. Behind thick ancient walls lay a very nice, tidy room and bathroom. The furnishings were styled with old castle pieces. From the room you walked over ancient stone slabs, probably once used by staff, to the kitchen, which is still at the exact spot where food was cooked before. Opening the heavy old door revealed a super modern kitchen that left no wishes unfulfilled, yet old utensils were used as décor. One morning we discovered that the old building had its flaws: the wastewater pipes were clogged. The owner, whom we called, handled it immediately; we were assigned a different bathroom because the installers said no water could flow through that line. First, that pipe segment had to be inspected with a special device, as ordinary tools wouldn’t work on those ancient pipes. The team around the castle master handled it smoothly, and we could continue using the lavish assigned bathroom. We would book the castle again anytime, because such warmth and care for guests is rare.
