“ESPECIAL PARA DISFRUTAR EN CARNAVAL”

The price was economical and the hotel was serious, especially since in Barranquilla it’s common for hotels to cancel during Carnival and ask for more money; this hotel honored the agreed price during the full Carnival. It has its own bar with pool tables that stay open all day, so there’s always people and plenty of light at night across the block, making it safe to arrive at any time. Police patrol constantly. The hotel is in the market area, so you see very humble people and the streets are neglected and dark at night (as in all of Latin America), but that doesn’t mean it’s a dangerous place.

I liked the kindness and friendliness of the staff, and the bed was comfortable. The location was somewhat unsafe for walking, and the alarm in the morning was too loud for those who do the cleaning.

The location was very bad, unsafe and the street atmosphere was poor, but the staff were very good and friendly; however, the area itself was not helpful.

The staff were friendly. There was no hot water, the location was bad, people were drinking beer outside the hotel 24 hours, and the bathroom door was missing.
