The front desk clerk that day was friendly and made payment a breeze, but the night‑time security guard was poorly trained and tried to tell me the hotel was closed.

This spot is probably the best in Nouadhibou, where lodging can be pricey. It sits right on a wide, central street beside a supermarket and plenty of eateries. My room was immaculate and cozy, and the Wi‑Fi, showers, and breakfast were all solid. What really set it apart was how helpful and pleasant the staff were; I needed cash and a bus ticket, and the manager drove me around town to get both without me even asking, as if it were no trouble at all. I would have been lost without him!

The location is great, on one of the city’s best streets with supermarkets and cafés nearby, and there’s a coffee/tea maker with tea bags. It’s quiet at night. The price in local currency was higher than the euro rate, so I had to spend time figuring out the exact cost. The room had some cover that made it uncomfortable.
