A very nice hotel in a former caravanserai; breakfast is served in the authentic courtyard and you can sit or work on a laptop in the evenings. The rooms are tastefully designed, but those on the upper floor are quite small and cramped; the ground‑floor rooms are supposed to be larger. A cozy sitting area is available in front of the upper‑floor rooms. The Turkish‑style breakfast is diverse and delicious. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, and we felt very comfortable. The upper‑floor room with a bathroom was beautiful but tight; there was little space around the large double bed and the bathroom with a nice shower was overall very small. The ground‑floor rooms are supposed to be larger.

“Bien dans l’ensemble”

The Konak is very beautiful and the staff are professional. Our room faced the street, so I slept poorly because the street was noisy at night with loud passersby; double glazing could solve this. There is no trash bin in the room, and for a room for five people, one roll of toilet paper is not enough—at least one spare is needed.

An ancient 300‑year‑old building in the historic center that once housed a Jewish family; the bed is comfortable. The room is small and sparsely equipped, with only one tiny window overlooking an inner corridor. The bathroom is small, giving the impression of poor cleanliness, very primitive, but miraculously everything worked.

“Wunderschönes kleinod in der altstadt in gehweite zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten”

The location, the people and their helpfulness and friendliness, the room equipment, and the breakfast were almost perfect. For people with mobility issues or problems with stairs, the stairs to the first floor are a challenge, but there is time and no rush, so it wasn’t a big deal for me. Others might have been bothered that the toilet lid wasn’t securely fastened or had come off; it was a small thing. It would have been a tiny detail if the bathroom mirror had been cleaned. I still felt fine, so overall it wasn’t a big problem.
