“Great Location, Check-in Needs Improvement”

The NYNY is very conveniently located; we walked across the street to the M&M and Coca Cola stores, and a pedestrian bridge connects directly to the Excalibur and the free tram that stops at the Luxor and Mandalay Bay. The hotel and casino were clean, not crowded, and offered many food options. However, the e‑check‑in didn’t work. Check‑in starts at 3 pm, but when we arrived at 6 pm I was told our room wasn’t ready. Hotels are strict about check‑out times, so I expected the opposite when checking in. I had specifically requested a mini‑fridge ahead of time, but they were about to give us a room without one. We also chose a room deal that included a food voucher, which the person at registration didn’t address. After waiting in line for at least 30 minutes I saw everyone else checking in offered free water while we did not, which was not a great way to start our stay.

The bars and food were great, but the lack of a fridge in the room was a let‑down.

The central location and genuine Las Vegas vibe were spot on, and the hotel itself was quiet in the rooms, yet the prices for food and drinks were very high and the quality sometimes fell below expectations; I had to ask a few times for directions or explanations, which I ended up figuring out myself.
